COURSE OVERVIEW
Companies employ public relations experts to manage the perception of the company and its brands. PR practitioners must possess strong writing and organisational skills, be confident and creative and have a persuasive edge. The PR environment also includes the glamorous world of events, from planning and organising to attending and being the face of the company. The course will teach you to think strategically and how to perform various PR functions in a local and global environment.

Entrance Requirements
Any of the following certificates will be accepted at registration:

National Senior Certificate/Grade 12

N3 Certificate/NCV Level 4 Certificate

ABET Level 4 Certificate
Certification
Learners will receive the following at each level:

National Certificate N4, N5, N6
-
National N Diploma in Public Relations on completion of N4-N6 and 18-months of in-service training
The National N Diploma includes four (4) years of theory and 18-months of in-service training.
All examinations are set and administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The National N Diploma is issued by the DHET.
Study Materials
Study materials are available FREE as printed textbooks, notes and is also available online on the learner management system, Moodle.
Academic Development Officer (ADO)
Students are supported by a team of Academic Development Officers (ADOs), who are available throughout the journey of your course. ADOs are not lecturers, but support academics, who are qualified in the relevant subject matter, and will guide you on all academic matters.
Extra Classes
You may attend Saturday classes for extra support. All support classes are free.
Online Centre for Student Relations
An academic and customer care adviser will be allocated to you to provide additional online support while you complete your studies. This service is free.
