COURSE OVERVIEW
A bricklayer builds bricks from raw materials and then uses the final product to build walls, floors, partitions and other brick structures. Depending on your preference or skill, you may choose to become skilled in a specific type of material, e.g. Fire brick or cinder blockwork. The more skilled you become, the more you can take on larger projects like fireplaces, arches, steps and more complicated structures.
Career Paths
As a bricklayer, you can be employed by a company or be self-employed as a contractor or sub-contractor in the following types of companies:

Entrance Requirements

Grade 10, 11 and 12

Mathematics and Physical Science is not a requirement
Certification
All examinations are administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and IEB.

The costs of study materials and access to the online portal for course schedules, exam dates, results etc. are included in the tuition fee. Simply enquire with your sales consultant.
Extra Classes
You may attend Saturday classes for extra support. All support classes are free.
Student Support
Student Support services is available to all registered learners.
Online Centre for Student Relations
An academic and customer care adviser will be allocated to you to provide additional online support while you complete your studies. This service is free.
